Like many other small businesses ineligible for government support, these are some challenging times. However, I've decided to continue to both create and trade via this website as there's only ever one way we can go, and that's forward.
I've recently added Gift Cards to my shop. This is a temporary offering by Shopify to help small businesses like mine with cashflow. If you'd like to buy one for yourself or a loved one, you can find them here. They start from just £5 and redeemable against everything in my shop, as well as future art.
I also wanted to reassure you that I take Coronavirus seriously.
No one in this household is infected, and as an artist I'm generally very solitary, but just to be on the safe side, I won't be licking any envelopes or stamps. I also won't be attending the Post Office and instead printing my own postage from home and popping in the letterbox. This does, however, mean that I am unable to obtain Proof of Postage by having the certificate stamped at the Post Office. If you're particularly worried about items not reaching you, I recommend selecting a recorded service.
In terms of what's available, this is the current situation:
- All orders sent out by me, so that includes recycled prints, linoprints and cards, will be sent out as usual
- Giclée prints will still be processed by The Print Space in London as usual
- T-shirts and mugs are no longer available since my supplier cannot fulfill orders until further notice. I will update you when the situation changes
However, our postal service Royal Mail is working with reduced staff so there may be some delays after dispatch.
I have recently purchased a high-end printer so over the next few months, I will be looking to create my own prints to both save on production cost and to have more control over my product quality and availability.
In the meantime, I hope that all you and your loved ones are all safe and well, and able to get all the supplies you need. Though we face a lot of uncertainty, everything passes, so let's do our best to not look too far forward and stay united!
